Xmen...literally speaking

Had an idea of interpreting some superheroes exactly the way their names would suggest. So first up is Wolverine, that Marvel megastar who's name is taken from an oversized, Canadian weasel.

Should be fun doing some other Xmen characters- Storm, Cyclops, Sabretooth... also thought about doing Nightcrawler, but considering his name is derived from a kind of Earthworm, it might prove difficult.

EDIT 30th March- I don't want to start a new blog entry for each addition, so I'll just keep adding to this one. Here's the latest, the giant teleporting earthworm that is...The Nightcrawler!

Cool idea Chris, I don't the Night Crawler would be too difficult, just think "Earthworm Jim" in an X-men suit ;)

Michael- Thanks for the great suggestion. But as you can see from the version I just added, I wanted to keep it more simple and literal.

Thanks guys!

I'm having fun with this. I'm starting to create origins and histories for this alternate reality Xmen team.

Who knows, maybe Marvel are in the market for yet another mutant title. :D

More to come!

HAHAHA, you should check out an old xmen parody call the unfunny x-cons, where nightcrawler appears as a truncated paraplegic! The other characters are equally funny :)
